Moisture content and equilibrium moisture content of paper
Paper moisture content greatly affects printing. If the moisture content is too low, the paper becomes brittle and easily generates static electricity during printing; if the content is too high, the ink will be difficult to dry. Moisture changes also greatly affect various properties of the paper. With changes in moisture content, its basis weight, tensile strength, flexibility, folding endurance, etc., will all change, and the paper size will also expand and contract, and may even curl, warp, wrinkle, or show ruffled edges. All types of paper have an optimal moisture content, at which the various properties of the paper are in a better state. The optimal moisture content for cast-coated paper and cast-coated white cardboard is 7% ± 2%, 4%-7% for white cardboard, and 8% ± 2% for single-sided coated white cardboard. This is the moisture content of the paper when it leaves the factory.

Complete Knowledge of Recycled Paper: Introduction, Classification, and Comparison with Ordinary Paper
Recycled paper is made from waste paper as a raw material. It is produced through various processes, including pulping, deinking, and other treatments. 80% of its raw materials come from recycled waste paper, therefore it is considered an environmentally friendly paper with low energy consumption and low pollution. Urban waste paper is diverse, and different types of waste paper are recycled into different products, such as recycled copy paper and recycled packaging paper. Generally, it can be divided into two categories: one category is low-grade paper such as cardboard and toilet paper; the other category includes paper used for books, newspapers, magazines, copy paper, printing paper, postcards, and exercise books.
